Andy Fortenbacher is a Los Angeles based writer, director, and producer with 18 years of industry experience. As a director, he has built a portfolio of 18 short films and has worked as a producer on over 200 commercials, 3 feature-length films, several short films, music videos, and documentaries. Fortenbacher’s films have screened at more than 100 film festivals around the world and his graduate school thesis film, MOTHS, was a Student Academy Awards semi-finalist.
Fortenbacher has an MFA in film directing and screenwriting from Columbia University. Additionally, he spent 6 years working as a member of the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) and also has an extensive background in post-production.
Fortenbacher is a founding partner of Living Legend Productions, a film and commercial production company that serves industry-leading brands and has bi-coastal teams in Los Angeles and New York City.
